Low to Moderate Income Earners Have Resources to Become Homeowners

For the last 26 years, North West Housing Partnership (NWHP) has helped low to moderate wage earners realize the dream of home ownership.

The Schaumburg-based nonprofit is a HUD approved housing counseling agency that provides free workshops every month to individuals who can utilize information and resources, to qualify to purchase a home.

All aspects of buying a home are covered in the monthly workshops, including financial management, mortgage information, legal issues, home inspections, home maintenance tips, and more.

"We work every day to help residents understand that owning a home is possible, even if previous attempts were unsuccessful. We provide individuals will all of the information and knowledge they need to move forward in the home-buying process," said Robyn Sandys, Executive Director of NWHP.

The upcoming workshop will be held on Saturday, March 18 from 9:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at NWHP, 1701 E. Woodfield Road, Suite 312, Schaumburg, and lunch is provided. Monthly workshops are normally held on the third Saturday of the month.

Pre-registration is required and can be done online at http://www.nwhp.net/nwhp-programs/nwhp-workshops-seminars or by calling 847-969-0561.

In addition to helping individuals become homeowners, NWHP also purchases and rehabilitates single family homes, as well as two or three-flats in Bellwood, Maywood and Berwyn.
