I bring the energy of an outsider to the office. But the experience in handing tax payer money as a Roselle Public Library Trustee which is a taxing body.What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.It's just right if and only if we have the leadership to ensure that the taxpayer is getting the bang for the buck when it comes to tax dollars.If the proper consolidations are made coupled with investment the current rate is a win to the community.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?Fortunately, crime is very low in Roselle and our Fire coverage is excellent. Going forward we need to make sure we have the leaders who have experience in managing tax dollars, as I, in this area.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?The Roselle Village Government could find areas at the margins to consolidate by creating more intra-governmental agreements with the Library and Park District to share city services to achieve economy of scale to save money in the budget.What is one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?Candidate did not respond.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?Job creation and attracting high end businesses such as Technology firms to our area is important to me as a candidate. As we build out the the city it has to be balanced with attracting companies to our area.Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Pope FrancisWhat is the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?Delayed gratification is key. Hard work comes first. Celebrate the fruits of labor later.If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?Nothing.What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?History was my favorite subject. It helped in being able to take in analyze information.If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?Leave it on the field. Give your all and let the pieces sort out.
