I understand not many people step up to help, that is why I am volunteering myself for the Trustee job.What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.Our taxes are too high. The Economy is bouncing back. We need to make sure Wauconda stays focused on retaining and building new business in town.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?Public safety is very important to me. over the past 10 years we have had a lot of change. Not all of it was liked by the residents. I feel we are in a much better position that other towns around us. It is important to stay focused on the future making sure we have adequate coverage.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?I do not think I have enough information to answer this questions with specifics. I do feel with my business background everything needs to be looked at all the time on areas where we need to save or spend a bit more.What is one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?I know this might have been talked about before but sharing resources is important to me. I see so much duplication of effort across many towns. I feel that there might be some advantages of helping other towns. I also feel like we need to be much closer to our close towns to make the community stronger. This is not just about Wauconda, it is about our community around us.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?I feel term limits is very important issue for many. Most voters are in favor of limiting term limits. I do feel that having new and fresh perspectives helps our community. I think diverse opinions and ideas is very healthy for all communities. I don't see the how having someone stay on for many years is beneficial to the community. If you look at all aspects of life and Business Change is good and healthy. Most don't like change but in the end it helps bring unique and different perspectives.Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Bill GatesWhat is the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?Hard work pays off. You should not someone else to do the job if you are not willing.If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?I would like to have my father back. He has been gone for three years and I still had more to learn from him.What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?Math was not my favorite but I use it all the time. It is very important skill to have.If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?Set goals and focus on achieving those. It is ok if you fail sometimes, it all about the lessons learned on the Journey.
