Helping educate water operators in the area to stay up to date on regulations and producing the best drinking water possible.Elected offices held: Candidate did not respond.Questions Answers What makes you the best candidate for the job?My philosophy is listen to residents and business owners and be their voice in Village government while promoting and maintaining growth. I will also bring 17 years of combined experience in the private and public sectors.What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.Our tax rates our on the high end for Kane County. Hopefully there is an opportunity to lower that burden on the residents with future development.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?I have never had any issues with local law enforcement and the fire department. Their presence is always felt as they are very visible in the community.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?Candidate did not respond.What is one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?We need to focus on prioritizing upgrading our infrastructure. This would require a plan with areas of priority and costs to allow for budgeting.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?The Village will continue to see growth in the coming years and I would like to use my experience's to help guide it in the right direction for what would be best long term.Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Jeff Bezos. His work with Blue Horizon is amazing.What is the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?Work ethic. My parents were very hard workers and taught me to work hard for what I wanted.If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?I would like to spend more time with my grandfather. He was an amazing man and I wish I would have known him better.What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?Running the school restaurant allowed me to learn how to manage people and schedules. We also had to work within a budget.If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?Never settle. With education, with family, with relationships, with work. Always strive for the best.
