Advocate Lutheran General Hospital Makes List of Nation's 100 Top Hospitals

In recognition of its performance on patient safety, inpatient and outpatient quality of care, financial stability, operational efficiency and patient experience measures, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital has once again been named to the 100 Top Hospitals list by Truven Health Analytics.

This is the 18th time Truven has awarded Lutheran General Hospital the honor, tied for the most of any hospital in the nation.

"We are pleased to be recognized for the commitment our physicians, associates and volunteers make every day to provide safe, high quality health care," said Rick Floyd. "Together, we are transforming how care is delivered, enhancing the patient experience and improving health care value for the patients, families and communities we are privileged to serve."

Advocate Condell Medical Center was also named to the prestigious list, among five Chicagoland area hospitals that achieved the recognition.

To make Truven's elite group, hospitals must not only provide the best possible care for patients, they must also demonstrate excellence as an efficiently run business. Truven considers the Top 100 as shining examples for others to follow.

The Advocate sites were chosen from 2,740 eligible U.S. hospitals. Key performance benchmarks for award winners included survival rates, readmission rates and shorter length of stay, among others.
