Sente to discuss environmental initiatives March 13

State Rep. Carol Sente of Vernon Hills will host a discussion of environmental initiatives and legislation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 13, at the Vernon Hills Park District's Laschen Center, 294 Evergreen Drive.

Sente will discuss her effort to remove barriers to organic composting initiatives throughout the state. Jen Walling, executive director of the Illinois Environment Council, also will present an update on environmental legislation.
