Sign up now for Corron Farm chili cookoff March 4

The Corron Farm Preservation Society will host a meat raffle and chili cookoff fundraiser from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 4.

Proceeds will benefit the renovation of the historic dairy barn and other restoration projects and educational programs at Corron Farm in Campton Township. The society is currently in the process of applying for National Register of Historic Places status of Corron Farm.

This event, which is open to the public, will be held at The Silver Spur Ranch, 45W445 Lees Road, Maple Park. There will be a 50/50 raffle, and a choice meat raffle featuring meat cuts ranging from ribs, roasts, steaks, burgers, hams and more.

The Chili Cook-off is limited to 15 entries, non-cash prize. Cost for chili tasting is $5. For a guaranteed spot for the chili tasting make an advance registration by calling Rhonda at (224) 629-0369.

Cornbread, chips and non-alcoholic beverage provided by Corron Farm Preservation Society. Full cash bar will be available.
