Music In Our Schools Month Concert Series - March 7, 9, and 15

Whether March comes in like a lion or a lamb, it will arrive with the sounds of music! Students from Hoffman Estates High School will be participating in a month's worth of concerts to show off their skills and to celebrate Music in Our Schools Month.

Sponsored by the National Association for Music Education, Music In Our Schools Month (MIOSM) is a national celebration that brings music teachers and students together with their communities to promote the benefits of high quality music education programs in schools. What began as a single statewide Advocacy Day and celebration in New York in 1973 has grown to become a month-long celebration of school music nationwide.

The schedule of Hoffman Estates High School music events is listed below. Unless otherwise noted, all concerts are free and open to the public.

•7:00 pm March 2 ($5 general seating) and March 3 & 4 ( $10 assigned seating): Disney's High School Musical in the HEHS Auditorium

•7:30 pm March 7: MIOSM Choir Concert in the HEHS Auditorium

•7:30 pm March 9: MIOSM Orchestra Concert in the HEHS Auditorium

•7:30 pm March 15: MIOSM Band Concert in the HEHS Auditorium

•2:00 pm March 18: D211 Honor Band Concert in the HEHS Auditorium
