Consumers Credit Union Hosts 87th Annual Meeting

Waukegan, IL February 21, 2017: Consumers Credit Union (CCU; Member-owned; $1.055 Billion, Waukegan, IL) hosts its 87th Annual Meeting on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Key Lime Cove Resort in Gurnee, IL. The meeting features the election of four (4) Members to the credit union's Board of Directors, along with the awarding of eight (8) scholarships, each worth $2,000.00. The scholarships are selected and awarded by Consumers Cooperative Association, CCU's sponsor.

The Annual Meeting kicks off with a welcome from John R. Janezic, CCU's Chairman of the Board, followed by Sean Rathjen's CEO presentation, including the 2016 financial performance and comparison of CCU's performance to other financial institutions on both the national and local levels. Mr. Rathjen's presentation will also highlight significant achievements from the past year, along with a look ahead to plans for 2017 and beyond. Members will then meet the candidates for the all-volunteer Board of Directors, followed immediately by the Board election. Those unable to attend the Annual Meeting may vote in advance by proxy ballots, which are available at all nine (9) CCU locations and online at www.myconsumers.org.

Approximately 300 Members and guests are expected to attend the meeting at Key Lime Cove Resort, 1700 Nations Dr. in Gurnee, IL. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m. 2016 Annual Reports will also be distributed at the meeting. Tickets are available at all CCU Service Centers for $15.00 on a first-come, first-served basis; no tickets will be sold at the door.
