Man dies in motorcycle crash in Glendale Heights

A 26-year-old man died Monday after the motorcycle he was driving was involved in a crash in Glendale Heights, police said.

The crash happened at 11:18 a.m. at Schmale Road north of Fullerton Avenue, and involved the motorcycle and a car driven by a 69-year-old woman, police said in a news release.

The man driving the motorcycle was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, where he later died. The woman driving the car suffered minor injuries but declined medical treatment.

Schmale Road was closed for three hours while Glendale Heights police and the DuPage County Accident Reconstruction Team investigated. Police ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call the investigations division at (630) 260-6070.
