Candidate who favors consolidation

Lt. Governor Sanguinetti's "Task Force on Local Government Consolidation and Unfunded Mandates" is pretty clear on what needs to be done. In regard to townships: consolidate or merge.

McHenry County Board member Andrew Gasser is running for Algonquin Township Road Commissioner. He is a strong advocate for consolidation.

In addition, he will work with the municipalities to realize efficiencies wherever and however possible. He has already met with several mayors to explore those opportunities.

For these reasons I am endorsing Mr. Gasser for Algonquin Township Road Commissioner.
