Mosque Open House to Promote Message of Harmony and Peace

Muslim Association of Bolingbrook is organizing a Mosque Open House on Saturday, February 18th, 2017, from 12pm to 2pm, at the Masjid Al-Jumu'ah location, at 351 Veterans Pkwy, Bolingbrook, IL 60490.

"The goal of this Open Mosque event is to invite our neighbors of all faiths, as it is a pressing need to have continuous programs such as these in as many communities as we can to help in the outreach messages of peace. This is a way to help fight the rise of Islamophobia," said Anwaar Khan, President, Muslim Association of Bolingbrook. "This jointly held event by Dr. Sabeel Ahmed of Gain Peace and led by our outreach coordinator, Aamer Jaleel, is a way to help people come visit the Mosque, and ask questions that concern them the most," added Khan.

There are great benefits to hosting such events, which are healthy to our communities along with our neighbors, helping build bridges to form alliances within our neighbors and communities.

The Open Mosque will be attended by many guests and scholars from the Muslim Community. Anwaar Khan, MAB President, urges neighbors and community members to join for this Mosque Open House event. For RSVP, please call or text 312-420-1876 to help in logistical planning, and please note this is a free event.
