Mini horses help Rolling Meadows Mustangs de-stress during finals
Rolling Meadows High School is known as the home of the Mustangs, but on Wednesday, the school hosted miniature therapy horses to help students cope with stress during final exams week.
Volunteers from Mane In Heaven, a Barrington-based nonprofit, brought four mini horses to the school's field house Wednesday to greet students and staff in-between exams.
Dozens of people gathered to pose for pictures with the horses, which regularly visit schools, libraries, hospitals, nursing homes, veterans facilities and domestic violence shelters. Volunteers say visits with the minis provide physical, mental and emotional benefits.
