Williams leads Streamwood past Elgin
Jenejah Williams had a game-high 21 points to lead the Streamwood girls basketball team to a 62-27 Upstate Eight River win over Elgin Friday night.
Mandy Mien added 12 points for the Sabres (7-9, 2-4) while Maddie Exline and Andrea Bracy had 8 each.
Kylie Graves led Elgin (3-14, 0-6) with 10 points.
Harvest Christian 44, Rockford Christian Life 20: Alyssa Iverson had 26 points and Maddy Martin added 10 to lead the Lions (12-3, 4-0) to this Northeastern Athletic Conference win.
Latin 52, Elgin Academy 25: In the Independent School League, Madeline Sporina had 12 points and 5 rebounds for Elgin Academy. Kaila Higa added 5 steals and Gia Joyce had 7 rebounds for the Hilltoppers.
McHenry 38, Hampshire 34: Megan Heine led Hampshire with 12 points in this Fox Valley Conference loss. Rachel Dumoulin added 9 points for the Whip-Purs (9-7, 4-3) and Laura Herrmann had 8.
