Nomad Theatre Co. to hold 'Wizard of Oz' auditions

The Nomad Theatre Company will hold auditions for the Young Performers Edition of "The Wizard of Oz" for second to eighth grade.

The auditions will be 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, and 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at 2422 W. Main St., #2B, just west of Randall Road facing Barbara Ann Lane in St. Charles. Email info@selfoundation.org for an appointment.

Nomad Theatre Company, sponsored by SELF, is a tuition-based educational program. Appearing around the Fox Valley area, they produce a wide variety of projects all aimed at building self-esteem and leadership among youth grades 2nd through college. Cast members "create not imitate" by collaborating with the director to develop a show based on everyone's participation and imagination. Everyone plays a part, and no one is ever "just ensemble." They practice non-traditional casting.
