Senators D Borowiecki suspended for 2 games by NHL

NEW YORK (AP) - Ottawa Senators defenseman Mark Borowiecki has been suspended for two games for boarding Los Angeles Kings forward Tyler Toffoli.

Borowiecki was assessed a major penalty for the play in the first period of Ottawa's 4-1 loss at Los Angeles on Saturday.

The NHL announced the suspension on Sunday. Based on his average annual salary, Borowiecki forfeits $12,222.22 that goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
