Snowflakes and Snickerdoodles offers a flurry of fun

Bundle up and bring your appetite for cookies-it's time for the Schaumburg Park District's Snowflakes and Snickerdoodles!

The event is set for 6:45-7:45 p.m., Dec. 15, at Safety Park, 421 W. Springinsguth Road. Children ages 12 and younger are invited to enjoy a snowflake scavenger hunt, followed by hot chocolate, snickerdoodle cookies, snowflake crafts and games.

"This will be a really neat evening activity," said Kathleen Benson, Bock Center manager and general program supervisor. "Come out and enjoy this event with us before the winter break!"

Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring flashlights and containers for collecting treats. The event will be held rain or shine.

Registration is required. Cost is $8 per child for residents and $12 per child for non-residents.
