School board candidates can file in Prospect Heights Dec. 12

Candidates for Northwest suburban Cook County school districts can file their nominating paperwork for the April 4 election at the Rob Roy Golf Course, 505 E. Camp McDonald Road in Prospect Heights, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first day of candidate filing, Monday, Dec. 12.

For the remainder of the filing period, through Monday, Dec. 19, the only places for school board candidates to file are the Cook County Clerk's Office, 69 W. Washington in Chicago, and the Hawthorne Distribution Center, 4545 W. Cermak Road in Chicago, on the border of Cicero.

About 750 candidates from 145 suburban Cook County school districts are expected to file paperwork to get on the April 4 ballot.
