Cellphones for soldiers

Community members are encouraged to drop off gently used cellphones at state Rep. Carol Sente's full-time constituent service office, 294 Evergreen Drive in Vernon Hills, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., through December for the Cellphones for Soldiers Drive. For each cellphone valued at more than $5, a deployed service man or woman wanting to call home for the holidays will receive up to 2.5 hours of free talk time.
