Chorus of DuPage to present Christmas concert

The Chorus of DuPage will ring in the Christmas season with its annual holiday concert performed in a cappella barbershop style.

The men's a cappella barbershop chorus, will sing traditional secular and religious holiday selections arranged in four-part barbershop harmony in the concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at Trinity Center Green Trails, 2701 Maple Ave., Lisle.

Special guests for the evening will be the Choral-Aires, a women's barbershop chorus of Sweet Adeline's International. In addition, the show will include the Skinkers, a mixed quartet of two men and two women who are past champions of the Mid-America Barbershop Quartet Expo.

Also appearing will be the Wheaton Brass Trio and flutist Emily Morrison, along with several other quartets.

The Chorus of DuPage is part of the Barbershop Harmony Society, an international singing organization with 22,000 members and 700 chapters in the United States and Canada. The group meets weekly in Naperville and has performed in and around the DuPage area for more than 50 years.
