Separation of church, state Jefferson's view
I have a correction to William S. Hicks' letter on the history of the Founding Fathers and the constitution. He states that one of the "core principals of our constitution" is "the separation of church and state."
Actually neither the constitution, Bill of Rights or any of the other founding documents contains such a statement.
That statement is a personal view of Thomas Jefferson written in a letter. Unfortunately, many people wrongly take it as the law of the land when it is actually far from it.
