Chorale to perform two Wintersong concerts

The Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale's Wintersong Christmas concert this year will feature the popular piece "Gloria," written by composer John Rutter. Rutter's "Gloria" is a virtual display piece for choir, brass and organ.

The concert also will feature quieter moments, such as the Emily Crocker setting of "Do You Hear What I Hear?" and a setting of the lullaby "Dormi Jesu" (Sleep, Jesus) by Butler. The concert will end with something big and festive that might include a singalong.

The choral will perform two Wintersong concerts at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, and 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at College Church, 335 E. Seminary Ave. Wheaton.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for students and seniors 62 and older through Dec. 1; tickets at the door are $20 and $17. For tickets, visit gewchorale.org or call (630) 415-3066.
