Rosemont police investigating cause of patient's injury

Rosemont police are investigating whether injuries suffered by a patient at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge occurred in Rosemont and were the result of a crime.

Rosemont Detective Joe Balogh said preliminary information indicated that the patient was injured at a Rosemont residence on Tuesday morning.

No information has been released on the gender, age or hometown of the patient.

Park Ridge Deputy Police Chief Lou Jogmen said Park Ridge officers were dispatched to Lutheran General in response to the patient's arrival there. But as soon as they were told the injuries occurred in Rosemont, the investigation was turned over to Rosemont police, he said.

Balogh said the patient's condition was not immediately known. Rosemont received no calls for police or ambulance assistance at the time of the injury, he added.
