Bears' Long, Sitton out for Vikings game because of injuries

CHICAGO (AP) - The Chicago Bears are holding star right guard Kyle Long and left guard Josh Sitton out of their game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Long, a three-time Pro Bowl lineman, was listed as doubtful after exiting last week's loss to Green Bay because of a strained triceps. Sitton missed his second consecutive game because of an ankle injury. Ted Larsen started at right guard and Eric Kush at left guard on Monday night.

Vikings receiver/kickoff returner Cordarrelle Patterson was active after being listed as questionable because of a concussion.

Matt Asiata started at running back with Jerick McKinnon sidelined by an ankle injury. Minnesota was also missing strong safety Andrew Sendejo (ankle). Jayron Kearse started in his place.
