Identity of body found near Woodridge golf course remains mystery
The DuPage County Coroner's office said Sunday the condition of the unidentified body was poor. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
Woodridge Deputy Police Chief Tom Stefanson said police have no information relating to how much time the body had spent in the water before it was discovered by a group of golfers.
"That part of the river runs adjacent to the golf course and they noticed him as they played the hole," he said in an email to the Daily Herald.
Police have no indication "whatsoever" that foul play led to the man's death, Stefanson said Saturday.
The Lisle-Woodridge Fire District, which responded to the scene and assisted police, referred all inquiries to Woodridge police.
