5K run to benefit Hope for Warriors

Active-duty military members, veterans, families and community members are invited to participate in Response Team 1's 5K Run For The Warriors race, benefiting Hope For The Warriors.

The race starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in Lions Park, 411 S. Maple St., Mount Prospect. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m.

Celebrating 10 years of service, Hope For The Warriors is a national nonprofit dedicated to restoring a sense of self, family and hope for service members, their families and families of the fallen.

All proceeds from the race will benefit veterans, service members and military families through a variety of programming, including clinical health and wellness, sports and recreation, community and military relations and transition services.

Prior to the race, a veteran's ceremony at 8:45 a.m. will be held to honor those who have served.

Response Team 1 is in the commercial and residential property restoration, disaster loss recovery and multifamily renovation industries.
