If you are running for re-election, is there an important project you want to implement? If you are a challenger, is there a particular issue that motivates you? Please explain.I'm running because there is a lot of work that still needs to be addressed in improving the lives of my constituents such as: job creation, better housing and healthcare. We, as a board, have come far during my tenure but I feel there is more that can be done.What are your ideas to ensure the Lake County Discovery Museum remains relevant with county residents during the year it is closed while it moves from Wauconda to Libertyville and its new space is prepared?I think we should provide continuous updates to the public regarding the preparations of the museum's new location and include pictures of the different artifacts.Do you believe all of the county board's and forest board's committee meetings should be televised live and webcast? Why or why not?It makes sense to televise the committees but we need to make sure that the timing of the expenditure makes financial sense. I believe all meetings should be televised after the renovation of the committee rooms at the County Board Office.Some municipalities are turning to Lake County government for contracted services in areas such as building inspections. For example, Lake Zurich signed a two-year contract with the county in late 2015 and expects to save $100,000 by paying $67 an hour for the inspections. Do you see this as a good thing for the county because of the revenue or are there concerns that should be addressed if these arrangements continue to grow? Please explain.Yes, in the current economic situation municipalities must ensure there being as efficient as possible with tax payer money. While at the same time we have to look at ways to improve economic development to continue job growth in Lake County.Please list any elected office you've ever run for and what the result of that election was. Have you ever been appointed to fill an unexpired term?I have served on the county board since 1982. In the past I've also served on the North Chicago Grade School Board for the consolidated districts 63 and 64.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?Recidivism, adequate healthcare and housing are all important issues near and dear to me.Please name one current leader who most inspires you.President Barack Obama.What is the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?To be patient, be involved and keep an open mind.If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?My nursing school education.What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?History and reading were my favorite subjects in school.
