Joliet woman shot dead, brother and 4-year-old daughter hurt

JOLIET, Ill. (AP) - Police say a Joliet woman was killed in a shooting that also wounded her brother and 4-year-old daughter.

The Will County coroner's office identified the woman killed in the late Sunday shooting as 20-year-old Dinesty Tillman. Authorities say she was pronounced dead at 11:08 p.m. Sunday in the emergency department at a Joliet hospital.

Joliet Deputy Police Chief Alan Roechner says officers arriving at the scene found a 22-year-old man covered in blood and shot near his elbow. Tillman was found bleeding from the head near a vehicle and her 4-year-old daughter was inside with a graze wound to the knee. Police said a 2-month-old child wasn't injured.

Police didn't have any information about the shooter Monday morning.
