Minnesota Orchestra will entertain at Vikings halftime

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The halftime show at the sold-out Minnesota Vikings home game against the Green Bay Packers belongs to the Minnesota Orchestra.

Its music director, Osmo Vanska, will lead the orchestra in an eight-minute performance at the 50-yard line Sunday night during the first regular season football game at the new U.S. Bank Stadium.

The orchestra plans to play classical music selections and pay tribute to the late Prince. Only those at the stadium will see the performance. NBC won't air the halftime show.
