On September 22nd: 'The Joy of Dance' Demonstration Comes to Five Seasons Northbrook
A husband-and-wife team who are one of the nation's top rhythm dance duos will be at Five Seasons Family Sports Club in Northbrook on Thursday, September 22nd to showcase a variety of dance routines.
The one-hour event, dubbed "The Joy of Dance," is free, open to the public and begins at 7 p.m. in the large dance studio of the club, 1300 Techny Road. It will feature Aaron and Iryna DeSoto as they demonstrate the basics of a few types of ballroom dance. That will be followed by a full-out professional routine demonstration.
All who attend will receive a free introductory lesson, to be redeemed by October 31st at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio, 404 W. Half Day Road, in Buffalo Grove, which is owned by Aaron and his brother Jesse.
"Ballroom dance has unlimited health benefits," said Aaron. "It is appropriate for all ages and demographics, and you can marvel at the beauty of such a delicate art form at any age. People should come to learn something new, and see amazing performances that typically are not seen off of the competition floor."
Aaron and Iryna are highly decorated and accomplished in the professional competition circuit in America. They specialize in "rhythm" dance styles.
"I love teaching people the joy of dance," Aaron added. "Anyone-teachers, doctors, gas stations clerks-can love and appreciate ballroom dance for the art form that it is, as well as participate and compete."
