Black Cat Yoga Opens in Downtown Libertyville

Libertyville - September 12, 2016:

A premier yoga and fitness destination with highly trained teachers, an elegant and inviting interior and a cultivated selection of athleisure wear, yoga accessories and gifts, Black Cat Yoga is thrilled to open in Libertyville, IL.

With so many fitness options available, it can be hard to determine where to go or what to try. Black Cat Yoga is different. Focusing on meeting the full array of mind-body needs, the studio offers both highly specialized classes (such as Athletes R+R, Sculpt & Flow, targeted workshops) to classes appealing to any level from the total beginner to the long time practitioner (such as Yoga Foundations, Candlelight Flow and our Sunday class coming in October: Sacred Service).

Erin Murphy, Owner, notes: "The goal of Black Cat Yoga is to be constantly evolving. As the community grows and changes, we have the nimbleness to grow and change right alongside. It's such a thrill to put down roots but still have that freedom and flexibility to give our patrons what they really want."

The goal of Black Cat is to avoid being a cookie cutter yoga studio and instead to give personalized attention in our inventive and inspiring classes. Erin is a former competitive figure skater who originally came to yoga as a way to ease the damage of a lifetime participating in a high-impact sport. From there, the passion expanded and she began to study a broad array of techniques and modalities, eventually falling in love with yoga.

After teaching around the North Shore, Erin was inspired to create a community destination, serving both the athletic community she came from as well as the harried parents and corporate executives looking to create an hour for themselves and their wellness. She notes, "The best part of being a new, community focused studio is our ability to craft a schedule of offerings that serves the specific needs of our students. I encourage everyone who walks through the doors to call or email me. I'm available and accessible so we can be THE destination in downtown Libertyville."

With a focus on giving back, the studio also offers free community classes targeted to raise funds for local charities, sponsorships and mentoring opportunities to under privileged students, as well as weekly half price classes geared to encourage the community to try new teachers, class times or formats.

"I feel so honored to be part of the Libertyville business community. It's really dream to have found this space and to be welcomed in to the community with such open arms," added Erin.

Black Cat's full schedule can be found online at: www.blackcatlibertyville.com. The studio is currently offering two specials to celebrate the opening: new students can take advantage of special pricing for one week $25) or one month unlimited classes ($69).
