West Nile case confirmed in Ingleside

An Ingleside resident is the first person in Lake County with a confirmed case of West Nile virus this year, the Lake County Health Department reported Friday. The unidentified person was hospitalized in late August and released this month, officials said. No other details were available about the case. Eighty-four batches of mosquitoes and two birds have tested positive for the disease in Lake County, too.
