Take guided tour of historic Geneva

The Preservation Partners of the Fox Valley will offer "Ch-Ch-Changes: A guided walking tour of the Central Historic District of Geneva" from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11.

For generations, Geneva homeowners have had good taste and public spirit, which has preserved in Geneva the nostalgic "hometown" quality so attractive to new residents and visitors alike.

Join Margaret Eagan, assistant director of Preservation Partners, for a Sunday stroll in this neighborhood to see how the district has changed with recent development and dramatic renovations of older structures.

A highlight of the afternoon will be a walk through of the 1854 house. Participants will end the tour with refreshments on the patio at 402 Campbell, the former Disciples of Christ Church.

The walking tour starts at the southwest corner of Campbell and South Fifth streets.

Cost is $5. Reservations are not necessary. The rain date will be Sunday, Sept. 18.
