Schaumburg VFW hosting 9/11 remembrance ceremony

Schaumburg VFW Post 2202 will host its inaugural 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at Veterans Gateway Park, 2 S. Roselle Road, in Schaumburg.

The event, which also will honor first responders, will include the playing of "Taps," and prayer.

In addition to the Schaumburg VFW Post, sponsors include Streamwood VFW Post 5151 and Schaumburg American Legion Post 1983.
