Elburn charity show draws hundreds of cars
The annual Charity Car and Motorcycle Show Saturday at the Martin family farm in Elburn featured motorcycles, cars and music.
The proceeds from the event will benefit Pat Hill, longtime community volunteer, village president and owner of Hill's Country Store in Kaneville, who is battling cancer.
Writer Glynn Amburgey was signing copies of his first novel "R.I.P. Sheriff Will." Part of the book sale proceeds will be donated to the Hill benefit. The author is the former electric utility manager for the city of St. Charles and his 1940 Ford Sedan Deluxe, featured on the cover of the novel, was on display.
About 300 cars were registerd for the show and Hill chose trophy winners at the end of the day.
