Tim Anderson leaves White Sox game with bruised right calf
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Chicago White Sox rookie shortstop Tim Anderson left in the third inning of Thursday night's game at Minnesota with a bruised right calf.
Anderson singled in the first inning but was hit by a line drive off the bat of the next hitter, Melky Cabrera. Anderson stayed in the game and had another at-bat before leaving.
The team said Anderson is considered day to day.
Anderson has started 70 of Chicago's 72 games since being recalled on June 10. He's hitting .282 with five home runs, 21 RBIs and seven stolen bases, and is third among AL rookies with 82 hits.
