NFL, Saints to help football program at flooded high school

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The NFL and the New Orleans Saints say they'll replace flood-damaged football equipment at Denham Springs High School and also provide the program with apparel and other resources the school needs to help rebuild its football program.

The school, south of Baton Rouge, was in one of the areas hit hard by flooding in south Louisiana in August that damaged more than 100,000 homes.

Former Saints Pro Bowl players Deuce McAllister and Michael Lewis are scheduled to be at the school Friday to represent the NFL club at an event in which the donations will be formally made. The Saints are also hosting a junior training camp for youth players from the area, with varsity players from Denham Springs High School leading the clinic.
