Elk Grove Park District keeping seasonal brochures
A recent community survey sent by the Elk Grove Park District found most people enjoy receiving the district's seasonal programming brochure, and as a result, the magazine will still be printed and sent to residents by mail, officials said.
Some park districts have discontinued printing programming brochures, prompting Elk Grove parks officials to ask survey takers whether they like the printed product. Of more than 500 people who completed the survey online, by mail or by phone, 96 percent said they do.
"We were thinking along the same lines, 'Is this a way to cut back?'" said Tom Busby, the park district's executive director. "But with the high response, there's no way we're going to cut back."
