NFL preseason opens with games in sweltering conditions
The NFL's preseason got going on Thursday night with six games, with all but one (Atlanta) played in sweltering conditions.
Here's a look at how uncomfortable it was around the league:
Philadelphia: 91 degrees with a heat index of 100.
Baltimore: 93 degrees with a heat index of 101.
Atlanta: 84 degrees with a heat index of 91. However the Redskins-Falcons game was played in the climate-controlled Georgia Dome.
East Rutherford, New Jersey: 94 degrees with a heat index of 98.
Foxborough, Massachusetts: 84 degrees with a heat index of 91.
Chicago: 88 degrees with a heat index of 95.
