Library program provides insight on roller derby

The Schaumburg Township District Library invites tweens ages 9 to 12 to discuss "Roller Girl" by Victoria Jamieson and meet some of the DuPage Derby Dames from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Coachlite Skate Center, 1921 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Roselle.

Those participating are encouraged to check out the graphic novel from the library and read it prior to the event.

Tweens attending will have the opportunity to watch the DuPage Derby Dames demonstrate roller derby moves before having free time to skate.
