Court should uphold amendment referendum

It is time for a change in Illinois. Over 540,000 Illinois voters signed a petition to give us the opportunity in November to change the state constitution. The change is known as Independent Map Amendment, which provides for a transparent, impartial and a fair way to establish the legislative boundaries for our state representatives and state senators. Recently some of the Illinois political insiders have had a suit filed to prevent us from having the opportunity to vote on this change in our state constitution. We need changes in the way the state of Illinois does its business. This is an opportunity for the voters to be heard. Hopefully the State Supreme Court will rule to place this amendment on the ballot, so in November we can make this change.
