University of Tulsa to expand beer sales at football stadium
TULSA, Okla. (AP) - The University of Tulsa has announced changes in stadium policies during football games, including the expansion of beer sales.
TU said Thursday that beer will be sold in the general seating area starting with the upcoming football season. Beer has been sold since 2008 in the stadium's suite and club seating areas and outside the stadium gates.
Athletic director Derrick Gragg said in a statement that TU has studied the idea of expanding beer sales for more than a year and that when done responsibly, the sale of beer at college football games can be a positive experience.
TU also announced that it's adopting a no re-entry policy that has been adopted at most college stadiums, including the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
