New Veterinary Assistant training program at Community High School District 128

VERNON HILLS, IL, July 19, 2016 - MK Education, an online provider of career-focused education and corporate training, is proud to announce the release of its new Veterinary Assistant program at Community High School District 128 beginning September 13, 2016.

"We are proud to announce the launch of our preliminary NAVTA approved Veterinary Assistant program," said Mayur Shah, MK Education President and CEO. "Our mission revolves around providing the education students need to improve their job prospects, and with this new program, students can be trained and working in just 2 to 3 months of part time study."

The new Veterinary Assistant program was developed to train students to assist in providing care to animals through routine tasks performed under the direct supervision of a veterinarian or veterinary technician or technologist. The course provides 150 hours of curriculum, hands- on externship opportunity, covering material such as examination room and office procedures, communication and client relations, and small and large animal nursing.

"We work closely with students to help them explore a variety of paths when they are considering a new career," said Kary Connolly, Associate Client Manager at MK Education. "Through these discussions with thousands of individuals, we identified a need for this training program, and we are excited to help our students who have a passion for working with animals turn that interest into a career."

The class will begin on September 13, 2016 and run through February 3, 2017. Tuition includes lab fees and externship placement.

A FREE information session is scheduled for August 23, 2016 at Libertyville High School. Please visit District 128's website at www.ComEd128.org and register for this free session.
