Schaumburg's business community hits the links
Halfway through the workweek, summer and year, Schaumburg's business community took a well-deserved break Wednesday at the Schaumburg Business Association's annual Golf Classic.
The Schaumburg Park District's Schaumburg Golf Club once again hosted the all-day event, capped off by a buffet dinner and raffle in the late afternoon.
Even local government was represented, with Schaumburg Mayor Al Larson and Village Manager Brian Townsend among the golfers out on the course.
The next major event coming up at the Schaumburg Golf Club is the Links Technology Cup to benefit the Schaumburg Park Foundation on Wednesday, Aug. 10.
The foundation is a nonprofit organization which raises funds for family memberships, programs and events for those not able to afford participation in park district activities.
That event will cost $165 per golfer. To register or get more information, call (847) 985-2115 or visit schaumburgparkfoundation.org.
