See Vietnam Living History Event July 23-24 in Elgin

The 2/327th Vietnam Reenactment Group invites the community to its first "Return to the A Shau: A Vietnam Living History Event" from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 23, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at Camp Big Timber, 37W955 Big Timber Road, Elgin.

This event will feature displays showcasing the uniforms, weapons, and gear carried by fighting men during the Vietnam War.

There also will be two battle re-enactments per day. There will be vendors on-site selling military related items.

For re-enactors, there will be a complimentary free dinner on Saturday evening.

Battle re-enactments will be held at noon and 3 p.m. both days.

Admission is $5 per person or free for veterans and children, age 5 and younger.
