He'll do what's best for McHenry County

State Representative Jack Franks deserves much credit for his decision to forego a certain easy victory for re-election and selflessly come home to reform McHenry County government and run for county board chairman.

Franks is one of the most influential legislators in Springfield. He is chairman of State Government Administration, the most powerful committee in the house. He has utilized that chairmanship to hold state government accountable and to impeach Governor Blagojevich.

Franks has worked tirelessly on behalf of the taxpayers passing reform-minded, good government legislation. As chairman of the McHenry County Board he will be in a position to implement these ideas and will hold government accountable and streamline operations. Under Franks' leadership the county will modernize its government, be directly accountable to the voters and reduce waste and inefficiency.

Jack Franks symbolizes a better future for McHenry County; a future focused on jobs, infrastructure and growth, a future where government will be less intrusive and more responsive and where citizens will have a larger voice in government. I am excited to support Jack Franks for county board chairman because he will, as he always has, do what is best for the people of McHenry County.
