Frank Thomas shares grilling tips in cookbook

Chicago White Sox fans can get a taste of success - grilling success, that is - from Hall of Famer Frank Thomas when he comes to Naperville with his cookbook, "The Big Hurt's Guide to BBQ and Grilling."

Thomas will sign copies of his cookbook just in time for Father's Day at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at Anderson's Bookshop, 123 W. Jefferson Ave., Naperville.

In the book, Thomas shares his passion for grilling and cooking with baseball fans everywhere for the first time.

Grilling is perhaps as synonymous with American culture as baseball itself, and Thomas is ready to share his home run recipes. As a member of the White Sox, Thomas was a five-time All-Star, four-time Silver Slugger Award winner, and two-time American League MVP. His number was retired by the Sox.
