Boomers bats go silent, drop pitchers duel

For the second night in a row, the Schaumburg Boomers struggled to figure out the pitching of the River City Rascals as they fell 2-0 Saturday night.

The Boomers managed just 5 hits in the game and only one inning with multiple knocks. Mark Nelson was the only Boomer with multiple hits and extended his hitting streak to seven games. Josh Heddinger pitched six strong innings, allowing 1 run on 8 hits with 3 strikeouts.
