Boomers snap 4-game win streak

It was another tight game down the stretch for the Schaumburg Boomers, but the bats were unable to rally late as they snapped a four-game winning streak with a 5-1 loss to the River City Rascals.

The Boomers gave up an unearned run in the top of the sixth on an error by Jordan Dean. Dean atoned for his error in the bottom of the inning with an RBI single to score Chris Robinson. The normally solid Schaumburg bullpen allowed four runs in the top of the eighth. Two runs scored on a Griff Gordon double and the other two scored on a hit by pitch and a wild pitch by Ken Knudsen.
