Riverwalk Café Opens June 4 in Naperville

The Riverwalk Café, newly renovated by the Naperville Park District, is set to open its doors at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4. The Café features a 60-seat patio overlooking the Paddleboat Quarry and Rotary Hill and will serve a variety of healthy, high quality menu items for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.

Summer hours for the Café will be from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily.

"We are excited to open the Café at the beginning of the summer season," said Ray McGury, executive director. "Renovating the Café is another example of taking care of what we have, and listening to what the community wants. The location of the Café is unique and this facility now can live up to its potential to serve those who enjoy one of our greatest community assets, the Riverwalk."

Terry Washington, food and beverage operations manager for the Naperville Park District, has been busy preparing the Café for its debut this weekend. "The menu features healthy items, including 6 different salads, a variety of sandwiches, a range of dinner entrees and no fried foods," said Washington. "We will continue adjusting the menu over the summer, including adding specialty coffee drinks."

Both indoor and outdoor seating will be available on a first come, first served basis.
